Status alerts for orders, waitlists and queues
Delivery tracking, waitlist positions, auction bids, forum replies, exam results pages. Anything with a status that updates when you least expect it, TabEye can watch, and it alerts you the moment the status actually changes.
Why this beats refreshing
Status pages are the definition of "a watched pot never boils": the courier scans your parcel while you are asleep, the waitlist moves while you are in a meeting, and the results page updates exactly once, at a moment nobody announces. Refreshing gives you the answer only at the instant you happen to look. TabEye looks for you, on schedule, and speaks up only when something is different.
Many of these pages sit behind a login (order history, waitlist dashboards, student portals). Because TabEye runs in your own browser session, all of them are watchable.
Set up a status alert
Step-by-step setup
- Install TabEye from the Chrome Web Store and open the tracking, waitlist, auction or results page.
- Press P and drag a box around the status itself: the tracking state, your queue number, the current bid. Status pages are full of timestamps and ads that change on every load, and the selection ignores all of that.
- Set the interval on the Monitor tab. Every 5 to 30 minutes suits parcels and waitlists; tighten it for an auction ending soon.
- Optionally add a keyword, like out for delivery or shipped with mode appears, to be alerted at exactly the step you care about.
- Click Start Monitoring This Tab.
Auctions: the last ten minutes
For an auction, watch the current bid with a short interval as the end approaches, and turn on focus on alert in Settings. The moment someone outbids you, TabEye drags you straight to the tab with the bid box focused in front of you. TabEye never bids for you; it just makes sure you are looking when it matters.
Tips for status pages
- Tracking pages often re-render identical content with new timestamps. Select just the status text, or use Confirmed detection mode, to keep alerts meaningful.
- Results day: pair Instant mode with a loud custom sound in the Connect tab. You will not check the page even once.
- Waiting for one specific state? Set auto-stop to Keyword found and the monitor retires itself once "delivered" appears.
- Telegram alerts mean the parcel update finds you at work; reply
/screenshot 1 to see the page. Setup is in the documentation.
Status alert questions
Does it work on courier tracking pages?
Yes. Open the tracking page for your shipment and watch it like any other page. Selecting the status line keeps timestamp noise from triggering false alerts.
Can it watch a page behind my account login?
Yes. Order history, waitlist dashboards and student portals all work, because TabEye watches the page in your own logged-in browser session.
Will it bid or act for me?
No. TabEye watches and alerts. For auctions it can switch you to the tab the instant the bid changes, but every action on the site is yours.
Can I watch a forum thread for replies?
Yes. Watch the thread page and TabEye alerts when new posts appear. A keyword such as your username with mode appears turns it into a mention alert.
